First thing I notice is the health only no mana bars (mana bars can be turned off in X-Perl to the person who claimed it took up to much space.or use the small mana bars option as I prefer).A quick glance at your raid mana can tell you how you are faring in a fight as a whole, are the casters lom.what about your healers are they tapped out? Is the druid on fumes thus requesting that innervate not really worth it? However looking at a lot of the screenshots from Grid it seems to lack some situational awareness that would need to be made up for by other mods. Admitting I've never used grid I can't say what it has and what it doesn't.

I know these are just suggestions on how it works but you really have to use it to really appreciate all the information it can give you and how fast you can actually process it and move on.ДЄnd to all X-Perl lovers, i did used to be one of them.Д«ut then after practicing i became better, and i see the real power of Grid, and learn how to use it, and after that i figured out how pathetic are my heals using X-Perl.ДЄ lot of people in this thread that say 'well I use Grid instead of X-Perl because it does xxx' apparently haven't ventured into the config options of X-Perl. I can quickly glance at a box in the 25 man configuration and know what I need to do for that person (heal, HoT, decurse, or ignore) and move on. Once you configure it to tell you want to know and where you like it to show up, then it really becomes a helpful tool in healing.

You have to really play around with Grid and not give up on it. To the lower right, I have Grid showing me if the person has a HoT on them so I don't erase someone else's HoT.

This is so I don't heal the same person or overheal them. To the lower left, I have Grid showing me if the target is already having an incoming heal. In the upper right hand corner, I have designated Grid to show me (via the color purple) if someone needs a disease removed. In the upper left hand corner, I have designated Grid to show me (via the color red) when someone needs to have a magical spell removed. This keeps me from overhealing which is a bad thing cause it wastes mana and Effective HPS. So my grid will show everyone as normal until they hit 90% or lower, then I will start paying attention to them as a healer. Again, as an example of how I have Grid setup for healing, I have told Grid not to tell me about someone's health unless they are below 90%. So what do you want the box to tell you? That should be the first question and then tweak Grid from there. Any changes you make to that box will be made to the others as they populate with the size of group your in. As your not in a group you will only see a box with yourself in it. The easiest way to configure grid is to concentrate on one box instead of all of them. When you first start using Grid it can be a little intimidating as it seems like there are 3 billion different options which is good and bad. X-Perl is bad, my healing efficiency go up rough 30% when I figured out how to configure Grid properly. grid doesnt waste so much space imo, and its easier to read than this explosion of bars, colors and icons :S each cell for every player on xperl takes additional space for mana bar, name and icon 'in combat'. I dont understand why as a healer u need to see hp of every tank's target - whose bars take like 20% of ur screen. lots of space wasted, all those bars, numbers, texts. Here's a screenshot of my UI when I was still raiding, I scaled a lot of xperl down so it can fit on my 15.4' laptop screen Xperl is the fastest to update, easiest to use and get used to, I'm quite sure it's not lacking anything, I still know many people who use Grid or something else. I can't stand ag_Uf or whatever it's called, grid, healbot, smartraid (?) etc. I find that Grid is very unclear when used to perl, debuffs are very obvious, hots appear as green numbers, small green flash if they receive a heal, red for aggro, range detection, it's all there, and it comes with the best player, target and party frames I've used so far. I have tried several healer frames and for me Xperl is a clear favourite.
