If you fall any further than 12 feet, no matter what there's a very good chance that even at full health you will find yourself having to restart from the last checkpoint. There's also the issue of falling, or jumping and missing. Even though sometimes the same amount of bullets in a less armored foe doesn't take them down. No matter the setting or what types of augementations you have a couple of stray bullets might knock you out for good. I believe this game is suppose to be more about stealth than combat, at least that's what I hope it is because the aiming and combat just didn't feel right to me. You'll also have to keep an eye out for ammo so that you can use the guns throughout the game. You'll have a wide variety of weapons at your disposal, sniper rifle, revolver, shotgun, pistol, rocket launcher, and more. So as I stated before you're playing the part of Jensen, and though sometimes he goes through slight voice changes, he's a pretty solid character to play with. There was also a slight issue of after you've enhanced your augmentations to run longer or jump higher that the controls really didn't feel like they responded exactly how you would expect them to. Aside from the sniper rifle I never really felt comfortable aiming any of the weapons in the game. Trying to focus on aiming your weapon is probably the most difficult part. The voice work is outstanding, I did enjoy the script, though there was definitely some stereotyping with certain voices. If there's trouble, or people are on high alert you get a more intense musical selection. It gets you pumped up and also tells you of the mood that the current surroundings is in. All the areas that you'll be going through have a faint yellowish tint to them, but I don't think its enough to distract you to the point of not being able to play the game. There's also the fact that the motions of the characters are jerky and you almost fear that some might be going into a seizure. There's some wierd kind of overly glossy imaging going on that really grated on my nerves about halfway through the game. Graphically this game definitely screams next generation (or whatever you want to call the XBOX 360). Once you recover, though, you come back wanting to know what exactly happened, and this is where the real game starts. Not to give too much away, but you're just a bit late and get severely injured. You have to fight your way through to try to rescue not only that scientist but many others before it is too late. That's when it goes all wrong and the building comes under attack. It all starts one night when you are about to escort a scientist, and love interest to go talk of the discovery that she thinks will revolutionize augmentations in humans. The Deus Ex franchise finally reappears and it is time to take on the mantle of Jansen, an ex-cop, now security for Sarif Industries. *Between improving my digital art skills or playing video games, I, sadly, had to conclude I couldn't (personally) do both, so, I picked digital art because it was more important (to me). It's worth every dollar, buy it if you can! To keep it short, there's roleplaying in the game, and, yes, you can spend hours just absorbing game lore or poking around other people's apartments, offices, etc. For the sake of brevity, I'll forebear gushing about the roleplaying facet of the game. If corpses and gore aren't your thing, there's always a more subtle, even cerebral approach to every situation. While the levels are ghostable, as I've seen via more seasoned players, there's an embarrassment of options from carpeting the floor with bullets to surgically stalking and stunning/killing NPC's. 'Deeper not wider' is 'Human Revolution's modus operandi and it never DARES to deviated from it.

Having never played any of this series legendary precursors, I can say, without reservation, this game, having never finished it (for the sake of time management*) was the most engrossing and exhilarating experience I've ever had with a video game.
